Dark Circles? Treat It At Home

Dark circles can be a real beauty killer. There is not just one single cause of dark circles.For some people it may just be hereditary. It is also seen in people with high-stress levels. Lack of sleep and staring at you computer screen for long can all lead to dark circles. Dark circles may be caused when the blood vessels under the are visible to us.Here are a few things you can do sitting at home to get rid of your under-eye dark circles.


1. Mix a pinch of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of lemon juice, a pinch of gramflour and a teaspoon of tomato juice. Apply under your eyes for 10 minutes and rinse it off.

2. Don't throw off your tea bags after you make tea. Refridgerate them. Place them on your eyes for 15 minutes to get rid of dark circles.

3. Mix equal parts of Almond Oil and Honey and apply it under your eyes for about ten minutes every day. You will be able to see positive results in a few days.


4.  Apply crushed mint leaves under the eyes for 20 minutes. It is very cooling to the eyes and will help reduce dark circles to a great extend.

5. Soak almonds in milk overnight. Grind them in the morning. Apply this paste under your eyes for 15 minutes daily. This is yet another brilliant remedy.

6. Blend a piece of potato into a smooth paste, chill it and place it under the eye. Potato is a natural bleaching agent and the cold from it is soothing to the eyes.

7. Cotton balls dipped in rose water and then placed on the eyes and left for some time does miracles in removing under eye dark circles.

8. If you are going out and in a hurry, place two frozen cucumber slices over your eyes. If they are not available, gently massage your eyelids and under eye area with some ice. It can be very refreshing to the eyes and you will observe quick results. You may also freeze two steel spoons and place it over your eye.

9. Eat a balanced diet rich in zinc and iron. Add a lot of fruits    and vegetables to your diet and make sure that you drink lots of water.

10. And should I even mention this one? Try to catch atleast 7-8 hours of sleep every day.
