Indian Roti

Roti is an indian bread. It is prepared in most of the indian homes on a daily basis. It is very easy to prepare and hardly takes any time. The reason I put this up is because roti is very healthy, made entirely from whole wheat bread. You donot have to add anything other than salt and water to it.  You may have it with any curry.

Ingredients (for 8 rotis):
 •1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
 •1/8 teaspoon salt
•1/4 cup lukewarm water (Use more as needed)

Also needed:
•1/4 cup whole-wheat flour for rolling

Instruction:
1.Mix flour, salt and water togather to make a soft dough. Donot add all the water at once. Add as per requirement.
2.Knead the dough for 5 minuutes. Set the dough aside and cover it with a damp cloth for around 10 minutes.
3.Divide the dough into 8 equal parts.

4.Make smooth ball and press flat. Using a rolling pin roll the dough out into a thin circle. If the dough is sticking to the rolling pin, slightly dust the rolling pin and the roti board with dry flour.

5. Switch on the stove and cook the roti on fire using tongs as shown here. You may brush the roti with some vegetable oil as it tastes better. But you can opt out of using oil.
6. The roti will be puffed up and will start changing colour. Flip the roti and cook the other side. Continue with this until you observe small brown spots on either sides.
