Learn To Love Your Curls

Beautiful hair at home, frizzy the second you step out of your house. Sounds familiar? It's a very common hair problem. In case you still looking for a way to maintain your natural curly or wavy hair, here are some simple tips that you might find helpful.
  • Comb your hair before you shower not after as combing can spoil the natural locks. If you still feel the need to comb, use a wide toothed comb and comb once or twice.
  • Make sure you consistently condition your hair. This will remove the frizz and make it easier for you to control your hair. Choose a conditioner that suits your hair. Leave the conditioner on for 5-10 minutes.
  • Donot rub your hair with the towel when you dry it. Try to soak up as much water as you can into the towel and then twirl ur hair into sections big or small. This will give you beautiful locks when your hair dries up. Let you hair dry on its own. Donot use a blow dryer.
  • If your hair is too thick and hard to manage, ask your stylist to thin it down a little to suit your face. This should tame it down and make it more manageable.
  • Avoid flat irons or curling irons as it can damage your curls and turn it into a dry, brittle mess with a lot of split ends.
  • Many of you are under the illusion that its good to wash your hair daily. But when you wash your hair daily, your actually stripping it of its natural oils resulting in it being dry and frizzy. Curly hair requires a lot more moisture than straight hair so its actually quite bad for it to be washed daily, you should only be washing your hair 3-4 times a week.
  • If you are travelling, donot expose your hair to dust and wind. It can leave your hair very frizzy and unmanageable. Braid your hair or tie up your hair in a bun. Use a scarf if you have one.
  • A weekly hot oil massage can strengthen up your locks and leave them healthy and tangle free.
