Summer is here and the one thing that I always have in my refrigerator is a tub of ice cream. Today, I am sharing with you a very easy to follow recipe, which has always been an all time favorite of mine.
Ingredients:
- cups milk (500ml+125ml)
- sugar-1/3 cup
- grated dark chocolate-1 cup
- fresh cream-100 grams
- cornflour-1 tbsp
- vanilla essence-a few drops
Instructions:
- Combine the chocolate and 125ml of milk in a pan and melt it over low flame till it becomes a smooth sauce. Cool the mixture.
- In another pan, combine the remaining milk and sugar and bring it to a boil.
- Dissolve the cornflour in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. Add this to the boiling milk and sugar and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the chocolate sauce and mix well. Cool completely and add the vanilla essence and cream.
- Mix well, pour into a shallow container. Cover and freeze till it is almost set.
- Divide the mixture into 2 batches and churn each batch separately in a blender till it is smooth.
- Transfer into a shallow container. Cover and freeze till it is firm. Scoop and serve.
